I have genuinely loved every Simond product I have bought (with this single exception). I really wish that I had bought the Cascade gloves rather than these gloves.
On a cold autumn day with temperatures ranging from around 5oC at the foot of the hill to temperatures hovering around 1oC at the summits, I really struggled in these gloves - numb fingers and that horrid pain as the fingers regain some circulation.
Waterproof - YES! Good dexterity on a long scramble - YES! But add in the windchill at the summit and these gloves were next to useless.
Really wish I had paid the extra and bought the Cascade gloves as I now need to buy new winter gloves anyway.Brand response :
Thanks for your feedback on the Simond Sprint gloves, I apologise for the inconvenience caused by the insulation. I shall pass on your comments to the product manager.
