On Thursday, March 26 at 6:15 PM, Mathéo reached the beach in Nice, completing his traverse in 19 days of effort, therefore delivering an outstanding performance: 86,000 meters of elevation gain and 2,200 km in total.

Initially launched in 2024 by Decathlon, the Wilder backcountry ski range now continues under the Simond name. It features the new Simond logo which was unveiled in November 2025, along with updated graphics and new color options.

Setting off at the end of August, the French rope team made up of Nicolas Jean (26yo) and Benjamin Védrines (33yo) targeted the unclimbed East peak of Jannu, deep in the Kangchenjunga region of eastern Nepal.
Their goal: open a new route on the vertical 2,250m north face in pure alpine style, no oxygen, no fixed ropes, no external support.
