A pioneering spirit as a legacy
Our drive for innovation has not changed By developing our own technologies or collaborating with renowned brands, we keep up the pioneering spirit from Simond’s early days, the same spirit that launched the first expeditions and still supports you today on your greatest challenges.
Our patented innovations
Condensless technology, a barrier against condensation
In a bivouac, condensation is unavoidable. To help hikers stay dry, manufacturers developed double-wall tents. While direct contact with condensation is avoided, it does not disappear entirely.
After several years of research, numerous laboratory tests, and 14 weeks of field testing, Simond developed the Condensless component. This is a unique fabric that reduces condensation thanks to a four-layer construction with waterproof, durable, and breathable properties.
Tests show that using this component prevents condensation in 72 percent of cases, compared to just 6 percent with a standard tent fabric. In 2025, it features in the Condensless tent, giving you the best of both worlds: a lightweight, single-wall tent that is easy to pitch, without the discomfort of morning condensation.
Rack Ice: one move ahead on the wall
On ice climbs or rock faces, every move counts. Unlike traditional gear holders, the Rack Ice features an outward-opening system. This innovation allows you to quickly unclip pitons, cams, or ice tools without taking your eyes off the wall. With its one-handed locking system and attachment bar, it is a valuable companion for your most demanding climbs.
Symbium technology, less effort with every step
On a trek, a loaded backpack can quickly start to sway, creating discomfort. By improving mobility at the lumbar belt, Symbium technology helps stabilize the pack and reduce effort while walking.
