Not fit for even normal winters in city

Bought it today at price of 2500 thinking that it's the best gloves i can buy. But it is not warm at all. Even after wearing it for 2 hours, hands will remain cold.

    Brand response :

    Hi Sushil,

Thanks you for your review on the Simond Cascade gloves. I am sorry to hear that the gloves didnt fulfill your needs. These gloves are tested for use in or above -10 degrees with silk/polyester liner inside during mild wind(below 5km/hr).

Could you please provide me your contact details for me to be able to look into this matter.

Furthermore you can take the gloves to your nearest Decathlon store for a full refund as a part of our user satisfaction policy.

    Thank you,

    Not Good

Even at 10 degrees it is not working

    Brand response :

    Hi,

Thank you for your review on the Simond Waterproof & Warm Cascade light gloves. It's unfortunate that the gloves were not warm enough for you during +10 degrees. This is not normal.

Please feel free to return the gloves to your nearest Decathlon store for a full refund or exchange and we will send the gloves to our quality team for inspection.

However just for your information, the gloves are tested 1) in a thermal laboratory and 2) by our independent group of users who are wearing the Cascade light gloves on top of synthetic/silk liner gloves along with appropriate insulated clothing(head to toe covered) in mild windy conditions(5km/hr) and walking at mild pace(5km/hr) in temperature close to -10 degrees.

The sensation of cold varies from individual to individual depending on a lot of variables including conditioning, age, gender, fatigue, metabolic rate etc. However the variation from -10 degrees to +10 degrees is not normal.

I am available in case of any more questions,

    Thanks

    Watch the temperature!!

I spent an hour out in -15 degrees, wearing these and a pair of liner gloves, and I couldn't feel my fingers at all. I couldn't move them. It was terrible. I essentially got a mild form of frostbite. Maybe they're ok above -10 degrees but who even needs gloves then.

    Brand response :

    Hi Rohit,

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the Simond gloves and what you had to face in those temperatures.

The Simond Gloves are tested at -10 degrees with a synthetic/silk liner gloves and the users do not feel the sensation of cold, however below that temperature they might not be enough.

I have personally used these in Gulmarg in Feb around -5 to -10 degrees and also on Kang Yatse in Sept and they suited me just fine.

We will be bringing gloves for even lower temperatures(-30 degrees) very soon for those extreme adventures that you may have lined up.

Keep an eye on our website for the same.

In the meantime, I am here should you have any further questions, feedback or requirement.

Thanks and Have a lovely evening!
