    Dexterity, Protection and Durability
    The preformed construction for hands and fingers enable precision ice axe or rope handling. Protective foam padding on back of hand and fingers provides impact protection against ice. Leather palm has leather reinforcements for extra durability when using ropes, ice axes and ice screws.

      Good design, poor build quality

      Have used this glove twice on the mountains and it’s clear it’s not a durable design. After the first usage stitching was coming loose.

      This is the first decathlon/Simond product with very poor build quality. The design of the glove itself is good and if it was well made then I’d happily recommend but at present I can’t.

      As a full time mountain professional, gloves are very important to me and have bought many pairs over the years. These are the first gloves I have bought that have had stitching come loose after 1 use.

      I am sorry to hear that the Simond Cascade Gloves did not meet with your expectations. All Simond products go through rigorous testing to make sure that they can meet a climber's demand on the mountain. Unfortunately some products can sometimes slip through the net.

      If you take this faulty pair back to your nearest Decathlon, with a proof of purchase you can either swap them for a new pair or get a refund.

      Once again I apologise that the Simond Cascade Gloves were not up to standard.

      Good but flawed

      First time I pulled them on the stitching failed on the pull loop. Now left with a frayed mess I am going to have to cut off. Not good for first use under no stress. Hope the rest of the stitching doesn't perform like that on the mountain!

      I am sorry that the Simond Cascade gloves did not meet with your expectations. You are correct; the stitching should not fail on the first use.

      If you take the gloves back to your nearest Decathlon store, with receipt or Decathlon Card, then they will be able to organise and exchange for you.
