Ice, ice and a bit more ice.
Kandersteg because it's an ice climbers' paradise that is less than 2 hours from Chamonix, the Aosta valley for the Gelateria in Morgex and the great ice routes that can be found pretty much everywhere.
The Dent d'Orche when I was 10 years old: the climb that got me started. Cho Oyu with my wife Martine last October. All the routes on the north face of the Grandes Jorasses that I have been fortunate enough to climb (9 in total). Then there's Patagonia with Andy Parkin and our wanderings onto Hielo Continental.
